On 8 January 2026, in Rio de Janeiro - West Zone (Rio de Janeiro), the civil police and the military police exchanged fire with TCP members in a police operation in the Vila Alianca community, in the Bangu neighborhood and in the Senador Camara neighborhood. Armed men set fire to barricades to set roadblocks. Agents arrested five suspects and seized three rifles, two pistols and seven cars and found a recreation center that was being used by the gang members. There were no casualties.
