On 8 January 2026, in Resende (Rio de Janeiro), the military police exchanged fire with unidentified armed men in the Vicentina neighborhood. Agents arrested a suspect and seized two pistols, three magazines, ammunition, a rifle and a replica rifle, two radio communicators, and cocaine. There were no casualties.
