On 8 January 2026, unidentified armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on five Alawite medical staff members from Al-Kindi private hospital in Homs city as they exited the facility, killing four and injuring one. The victims included a doctor, two nurses, and an engineer. 4 fatalities.
