On 8 January 2026, in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, unknown armed individuals attacked and shot at three state police officers who were at a gas station inside a vehicle conducting an investigation with drones. Municipal police officers were alerted, arrived at the scene in Colonia Fuentes Los Nogales and arrested seven individuals and seized one truck and three guns. One police officer died and two were injured. 1 fatality, 2 injured.
