On 7 January 2026, RR, CRPF and SoG exchanged fire with 2-3 suspected JeM militants during a cordon and search operation (CASO) at Kamadh Nullah area in Billawar tehsil (Kathua district, J&K). One SoG personnel was left injured in the encounter.
