On 7 January 2026, an Azerbaijani employee of one of the private companies involved in humanitarian mine clearance operations was hit by an anti-personnel mine, possibly planted by Artsakh forces, while performing his official duties in Mehdili, Jabrayil region, as a result of which he received minor injuries to his leg.
