On 7 January 2026, BLF militants carried out a hand grenade attack targeting an open court session held by a PML-N government parliamentary secretary in Mand town (Kech, Balochistan) during a public jirga (tribal meeting). The grenade exploded in the parking area, damaging several vehicles. BLF claim the attack targeted security personnel, with two police custom personnel and one frontier corps personnel were wounded. However, independent and mainstream sources claim there were no casualties. There were no casualties.
