On 7 January 2026, in Ngazun township (Myingyan district, Mandalay region), the Special Task Force (Ngazun) attacked more than 70 Myanmar military troops in two military trucks with mines on the Myo Thar road that approached the local PDF troops while they were conducting a security check. Around 8 military soldiers were injured.
