On 7 January 2026, near Shan Taw village (Minhla township, Thayarwady district, Bago-West region), a combined force of the Alpha Column, the Bravo Column (the People's Defense Force - Thayarwady District Battalion-3803), the People's Defense Force - Thayarwady District Battalion-3802 Company-2,3, the Thayarwady Galon Force, the People's Defense Force - Letpadan Special Task Force, the People's Defense Force - Shwe Tan Myay, the People Defense Force - Yangon Region (PaKaPha) and the Asho Chin Defense Force attacked a column of about 70 Myanmar military soldiers and the Pyu Saw Htee members advancing toward Sit Kwin Tar Sone village as reinforcements. 4 military soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed. 4 fatalities.
