On 7 January 2026, in Point Fortin, Point Fortin, police forces shot and injured an armed man as they tried to arrest him at a house along Fortune road, in Egypt Village district. Upon seeing the officers, the suspect jumped through a window and pointed an object resembling a gun at them. One of the officers opened fire in response, injuring him. A revolver was seized. The man was wanted in connection with several robberies and shooting offences. 1 injured.
