On 7 January 2026, in Maraba (Para), unidentified gunmen shot and killed a man inside a pickup truck in the Delta Park II area. At least eight shots were fired at the vehicle. The killing was suspected to be an execution. During the investigation, authorities identified a residence potentially linked to the crime, forced entry into the property, and seized nearly 0.5 kg of cocaine, a precision scale, and other drug trafficking materials. The motive for the attack remains unclear. 1 fatality.
