On 7 January 2026, near Tula de Allende municipality, Hidalgo, there was an armed clash and a chase between armed men in a car against the state, municipal and National Guard on the Refineria - Tula de Allende road. The chase began when the armed men tried to avoid being checked during a security operation set up after the killing of three people in Michimaloya that same day (reported separately). The clash ended in an area known as El Llano where two of the men were arrested. The other man was killed. 1 fatality.
