On 6 January 2026, near Ye-U town (Ye-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the People's Defense Force - Ye-U (PaKaPha) and other resistance groups carried out a mine attack against a Myanmar military advance scout unit of about 20 soldiers as they reached the entrance sign of Ye-U town. Casualties unknown.
