On 6 January 2026, in Wetlet township (Shwebo district, Sagaing region), Myanmar military forces stationed in Thee Inn village and Kyet Tu Yway village and in the southwestern part of Singu township conducted a drone strike and dropped an 81mm bomb on a motorboat anchored in the river around 8:00 pm. During the drone strike, a 30-year-old man was killed and eight people were injured. 1 fatality.
