On 6 January 2026, in Yae Thauk Kan village (Wetlet township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with two jet fighters around 10:00 am. The airstrike immediately killed three people, including a five-month-old child. Another 40-year-old woman later died at the hospital due to her injuries. 4 fatalities.
