On 6 January 2026, in Singu township (Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the Myanmar military troops stationed in Thea Inn and Kyet Tu Yway villages conducted a drone strike and dropped an 81-mm grenade on a boat that was anchored in a river around 12 pm. A civilian (a 30-year-old man) was killed and five civilians were injured. 1 fatality.
