On 6 January 2026, in Pakokku town (Pakokku township, Pakokku district, Magway region), a combined force of the People's Defense Force - Pakokku District Battalion-16, the Golden Eagle Defense Force and the Anyar Ayeyawaddy Revolution Force attacked a joint force of the Myanmar military, the police troops and the Pyu Saw Htee on the Pakokku-Yesagyo road section in the industrial zone. In response, the joint force fired back 40mm heavy weapons. 2 military soldiers were killed.
