On 6 January 2026, in Port-au-Prince - Bel Air, Ouest, police forces engaged in clashes with gang members during security operations in the Bel Air neighborhood and the Delmas 4 road (coded separately). In Bel Air, the police (likely the Task Force Police coded as Police Forces) launched drone strikes, killing several criminals and injuring others between Tiremasse, Macajoux, des Remparts and Saint Martin streets. Human rights organizations counted more than 30 gang fatalities. The gangsters were suspected affiliates of the Krafe Dife Gang, whose members control the area. The clashes took place near the facilities of Doctors Without Borders (MSF), where seven community volunteers got trapped and a former volunteer was killed by the stray bullets. MSF suspended its regular activity in Bel Air after the incident. At least 30 fatalities split across 2 events.
