On 6 January 2026, in Altamira (Para), an unidentified gunman on a motorcycle killed two men inside a residence in a drive-by shooting in the Dom Lorenzo neighborhood. At least 15 shots were fired during the attack, and a woman inside the house was also shot and injured but managed to flee. The residence was used as a drug selling point and the victims had prior criminal records (likely related to drug trafficking because of the location). The motive for the attack remained unclear. 2 fatalities.
