On 6 January 2026, Fano (AFNF and AFPO) clashed with ENDF, Amhara regional riot police, and Kebele militia in Ajebar (Kelela, South Wello, Amhara), Ligwama, Tenta, Masha, Chacha, Beshilo, Wata, Degolo, Woyin Amba, and Were Ilu (coded separately), leading to the killings of many forces on both sides. The two factions of Fano (AFNF and AFPO) launched a coordinated offensive against state security forces with an operation which they named 'Operation Rambo' or 'Sintayehu Operation', targeting military installations and urban centers. Fano claimed to have captured over 140 state security force members. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 10, split across eight locations, and coded as 1 for this event.
