On 6 January 2026, members of the Bar clan of the Bul Nuer community clashed with the Chieng-Badeng/Badeng clan of the Bul Nuer at an unspecified location in Wangbuor Payam (Mayom County, Unity State), resulting in 6 fatalities and 16 injuries. The clash created tension between the 2 groups.
