On 6 January 2026, an IED planted by ISWAP/Boko Haram (JAS) militants (coded as Boko Haram (JAS) based on militant activity in Mayo-Sava) exploded when a truck drove over it in Amchide (Kolofata, Mayo-Sava, Extreme-Nord). 2 men were injured, the truck and an onion cargo were destroyed.
