On 6 January 2026, ISWAP attacked Boko Haram (JAS) in the Sabil Huda area, location coded to the LGA HQ, Gwoza (Gwoza, Borno). The attack was a retaliation for their loss in the previous attack a few days earlier (coded separately). ISWAP killed at least 12 Boko Haram fighters.
