Early Sunday morning, an explosion was reported in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm. No one was injured, but windows on the property were shattered and a gate suffered minor damage.
– We think we know what caused the explosion, but it's nothing we can say anything about yet, police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl told SVT on Sunday morning.
The alarm came just after 5 a.m.
– There has been some kind of explosion which caused minor damage to doors and windows, says control operator Jesper Hasselgren at Attunda Fire Department.
No one was injured in the incident, which occurred inside an industrial area.
There was never any fire in connection with the explosion and the emergency services were able to leave the scene after about an hour.
The police searched the area during the morning with the help of dog patrols, but no suspected perpetrator was found.
The incident is classified as public danger and a serious violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
