On 6 January 2026, in Temixco, Morelos, armed individuals who arrived in two vehicles entered a seafood restaurant named 'Tia Licha' in Colonia Las Animas and shot and injured three men (one of them underage). The restaurant belongs to the family of a Morena federal deputy and former Secretary of Administration for the state government of the former governor. The motive for the attack is unknown.
