On 5 January 2026, near Khuangli village (Falam township, Falam district, Chin state), a combined force of the Chin National Front (CNF), unidentified Chin resistance groups under the Chinland Council, and the Chin National Defense Force (CNO/CNDF) intercepted and attacked a Myanmar military column departing from Tedim and advancing toward Falam town around 6:10 am. The military also supported the clash with airstrikes and dropped 6 bombs. The airstrike destroyed houses in the village. During the attack, at least 8 Myanmar military soldiers were killed, and two Myanmar military soldiers were captured alive. The combined forces also seized 15 weapons and ammunition. 8 fatalities.
