On 5 January 2026, members of the BNP shot and killed a leader of Jubo Dal in Gujra union, Raozan upazila (Chittagong), suspected to be over ongoing factional rivalry between supporters of two leaders. The assailants shot the victim in the chest while he was walking near his house and fled.
