On 5 January 2026, unidentified militants (coded as Baloch Separatists) detonated an IED near Allah Akbar Chowk on the main road close to the Central Mosque in Chitkan town (Panjgur, Balochistan). Three individuals were killed and 12-16 others were wounded in the explosion. A Frontier Corps vehicle suspected to be the target escaped unharmed. 3 fatalities and 12-16 injured.
