On 5 January 2026, unidentified assailants detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) attached to a motorcycle at the main bazaar (market) area in Panjgur city (Balochistan) in a suspected militant attack. One person was killed and 16 others were inured - including thrre with serious injuries.
