On 5 January 2026, in Kone Ywar village (Yinmarbin township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with 3 gyrocopters and dropped bombs two times around 3:30 pm. The airstrike targeted a funeral ceremony at a cemetery for a doctor from Ma Taunt Ta hospital, who was killed in a previous airstrike on 4 January 2026 (coded separately). The airstrike happened before the ceremony and damaged the cemetery pavilion. There were no casualties.
