On 5 January 2026, between Tha Nat Kone and Zee Kyun villages (coded as Tha Nat Kone) (Myaung township, Sagaing district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the People's Defense Force - Myaung (PaKaPha), the Myaung Villages Coalition, the Royal Brother Defense Force, the MS9 Brothers (P.K.F), the Thway Thauk Revolution Forces, the 11 Brothers Revolution Forces, the People's Defense Force - Myingyan District and the Myaung Special People's Defense Force attacked around 150 Myanmar military soldiers from LIB 256, 257, and 258 at around 9:35 am. Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that 8 Myanmar military soldiers were injured.
