On 5 January 2026, in Taung Khin Yan village (Gangaw township, Gangaw district, Magway region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes on the village using a jet fighter at around 1:15 am. Some rice mills and 3 civilian houses were destroyed. There were no casualties.
