On 5 January 2026, in Valparaiso de Goias (Goias), military police opened fire against three men inside a car next to the Shopping Sul mall after they disobeyed a stop order. One victim was shot and injured. Police says the men tried to throw the car in the direction of the officers, but the victims deny. There were no fatalities.
