On 5 January 2026, an armed group (likely JNIM, based on location) attacked a convoy of fuel trucks escorted by the Malian army on the RN24 segment between Neguela and Soribougou (Kassaro, Kita, Kayes), burning down three fuel tankers. Casualties unknown.
