On 4 January 2026, near Hpan Khar San village (Natmauk township, Magway district, Magway region), the People's Defense Force - Natmauk (PaKaPha) attacked a column of Myanmar military soldiers coming from Te Gyi village using mines at around 10:00 am. In response, the Myanmar military fired back using small and heavy weapons. 10 military soldiers were killed and 8 others were injured. 10 fatalities.
