On 4 January 2026, TTP militants clashed with local armed residents (coded as Dera Ghazi Khan communal militia) near the Jaday Wali temporary check post in Taunsa tehsil (Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab). Police intervened and opened fire, preventing militants from crossing the check post. There were no casualties.
