On 4 January 2026, armed assailants, suspected to be from the Mazari tribe, ambushed and opened fire at a car carrying members of a family (from the Bugti tribe) near the main bus stand in Sukkur city (Sindh) over a suspected enmity with a Mazari family. Two people were killed and one was injured.
