On 4 January 2026, an Israeli drone struck a car along the road between Jmaijmeh and Safad el Battikh town (Bint Jbeil, Al Nabatieh). Two individuals were killed in the attack. One of the individuals was identified as a Hezbollah member while the other was a medic with the Islamic Health Society (also affiliated with Hezbollah).
