On 4 January 2026, an IED planted by Islamic State Somalia Province targeted a Puntland Dervish Force convoy between Dhemasno and Dhaadaar village (Qandala, Bari). 1 vehicle was hit, 3 soldiers were killed, including a commander, and 5 others were injured.
