On 4 January 2026, in Sulaco, Yoro, armed individuals shot and killed two teenagers girls and cousins after abducting and taking them to the San Antonio village. Their bodies were found later on the same day. The police suspect that members of an organized armed group might have warned the victims not to come to the area as they were believed to be connected to a rival group trying to take over. 2 fatalities.
