On 3 January 2026, in Ye township (Mawlamyine district, Mon state), fighting broke out between the advancing column of around 200 Myanmar military soldiers from LIB-106 and the combined troops of the Karen National Liberation Army Brigade - 6 Battalion - 27 Company - 1 and the Ta Pin Shwe Htee Column. A military soldier was killed. 1 fatality.
