On 3 January 2026, near Falam town (Falam township, Falam district, Chin state), a combined force of the Chin National Defense Force (CNO/CNDF) and allies intercepted and attacked two Myanmar military columns of 400 soldiers, located about 13-15 miles from Falam town, for the second day. During the clashes, the combined force captured two Myanmar military soldiers alive and seized weapons and ammunition. One CNDF fighter was killed over two days of fighting. 1 fatality split across two days (2-3 January), and coded as 1 for this event.
