RPG event in Chin, Khuangli area, Myanmar on Sat 3rd January 2026

On 3 January 2026, in Khuangli village (Falam township, Falam district, Chin state), a combined force of the Chin National Front (CNF/CNA), unidentified Chin resistance groups under the Chinland Council, and the Chin National Defense Force (CNO/CNDF) intercepted and attacked a Myanmar military column departing from Tedim and advancing toward Falam town. During the attack, 5 Myanmar military soldiers were killed, and two Myanmar military soldiers were captured alive. The forces also seized 1 MA-4 rifle, 3 MA-1 rifles, 2 MA-2 rifles, 1 60mm short-range mortar, 1 RPG, 1 MG3 machine gun, 28 magazines, 4 grenades, and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition. Khit Thit Media and Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that 10 Myanmar military soldiers were killed, while Shwe Phee Myay News Agency and The Voice of Chinland (VOC) reported 5 Myanmar military soldiers were killed.
