On 3 January 2026, armed clashes took place between Syrian armed forces supported by pro-government militia against National Guard fighters along the Mansura axis near As-Sweida city in rural As Sweida with machine guns and medium weapons after National Guard fighters shelled several Syrian police positions in the vicinity of Mansoura, injuring three National Guard fighters (along several axes). There were no fatalities.
