On 3 January 2026, in Guayaquil - Pascuales (Guayas), four armed individuals riding on motorcycles opened fire at a group of men who were having a conversation at a corner of block 9 of Flor de Bastion in the Nueva Prosperina District. Two of the attackers stepped down and shot and killed two men. 2 fatalities.
