On 3 January 2026, in Viamao (Rio Grande do Sul), unidentified gunmen shot and killed a couple and injured a boy in the Vila Augusta neighborhood. Police suspected the attack was linked to disputes between drug trafficking groups operating in the area and a possible connection to the killing of a man earlier the same day in Beco Troia (coded separately), less than one kilometer away, an alley known for the presence of the Os Manos gang. 2 fatalities.
