On 3 January 2026, suspected ENDF soldiers shot and killed 17 daily laborers (fatalities uncorroborated) near Ayehu, also called Azena (Ankasha, Awi, Amhara). The attack was a retaliation following a clash between ENDF and Fano on the same date (coded separately). Uncorroborated number of fatalities coded as 10.
