On 2 January 2026, in Catole do Rocha (Paraiba), military police officers exchanged fire with an armed suspect in the Tancredo Neves neighbourhood. The officers conducted an operation after receiving reports about the presence of the suspect, who was wanted for drug trafficking. An armed clash took place and the suspect was shot and killed. Police seized a firearm, ammunition and drugs. 1 fatality.
