On 1 January 2026, near Bethel Town, Westmoreland, police forces shot and killed three armed men during a clash in the Cornwall Mountain community. One of the victims was identified as a high-risk target. He was wanted in connection with two killings and two confrontations with the police (coded separately). Two pistols were seized. 1 fatality.
