Around 1 January 2026 (as reported), in Sosa corregimiento (Guarico), joint GNB military, and SEBIN and PNB police forces shot and killed four members of the Tren del Llano gang during an armed clash. After the confrontation the security forces seized two assault rifles, a submachine gun, two handguns, and two grenades. The authorities claimed that, with this action, the gang was officially dismantled. 4 fatalities.
